Practical systems for
complex decisions.

I combine trade and regulatory judgement, client advisory experience, and hands-on AI workflow design to turn operational problems into controlled, testable systems.

Case studies

From operating problem to working control

Client intake and sales operations

Controlled AI lead qualification and handoff

Operating problem

Survey responses and live conversations had to become a useful agent brief without changing what the client actually said or allowing automation to hold onto a lead that was ready for personal contact.

My work

  • Mapped the intake data, decision points, escalation triggers, and ownership boundaries.
  • Designed and iterated structured prompts, exact-value rules, output schemas, and next-step logic.
  • Added hard handoff conditions, opt-out handling, and a human-review path for ambiguous cases.
  • Tested failure modes, including unsupported substitutions, incomplete summaries, and missed handoffs.

Result

Produced consistent, agent-ready briefs with clear priorities and recommended next steps while keeping the final client decision with a person.

Workflow discovery and AI-assisted product development

Transaction operations platform

Operating problem

A real estate team managed transaction status, documents, assignments, and follow-up across spreadsheets, email, and an external brokerage platform. The process depended heavily on individual memory and manual checks.

My work

  • Interviewed the team lead and transaction coordinator and documented the current workflow as it was actually performed.
  • Translated that workflow into roles, permissions, draft states, acceptance criteria, work queues, and test cases.
  • Directed AI-assisted development through defined tasks, code review, defect reproduction, regression testing, and deployment gates.
  • Applied role separation, tenant isolation, encrypted credentials, read-only external access, and visible error states.

Result

Delivered an internal pilot that centralizes draft intake, recommended workflows, assigned actions, activity history, and scheduled status synchronization.

  • User discovery
  • Requirements
  • Product QA
  • Risk controls

Structured data review and exception handling

Financial reconciliation workflow

Operating problem

Statements from personal, rental-property, and investment accounts required repeatable classification and reconciliation without counting transfers twice or hiding uncertain transactions.

My work

  • Defined a common transaction structure for imported statements and account activity.
  • Built rules for classification, duplicate detection, transfer exclusions, income handling, and unresolved-item review.
  • Required traceable decisions and retained exceptions for human verification instead of forcing uncertain classifications.
  • Refined the rules against a 165-entry test set, reducing unresolved items from 82 to 19 while preserving the review queue.

Result

Created a repeatable reconciliation process that separates confirmed activity from exceptions and makes every unresolved decision visible.

  • Data reconciliation
  • Exception design
  • Auditability
  • Iterative testing

Working principles

Judgement stays in the system

01

Evidence before confidence

Unsupported conclusions are surfaced for review, not disguised as certainty.

02

Automation with boundaries

Decision rules define when a system may proceed and when a person must take over.

03

Operational reality first

Requirements begin with the people doing the work, including exceptions and workarounds.

04

Test the failure path

A system is not ready because the ideal workflow works. Errors, ambiguity, and recovery matter.
